Development of a critical analysis of the Public Communication pricing models applied to festivals and proposal of alternative models.
Elaboration of a differentiating analysis of the concept of “Festival” as a market product, its evolution and differentiation both in origin and growth from the concept of “Concert”. Having established this differentiation, analysis of the added value of intangible concepts such as performers’ rights, beyond their remuneration, in festivals and comparison of European trends both in legislation and praxis when establishing remuneration rates for the use of protected rights. Based on the above, a proposal for a tariff model that complies with Spanish legal criteria while tending towards standardization with the European environment was drawn up.
